2005 Tournament

The 2005 Trading Agent Competition has now been completed. TAC-05 featured two games: the “classic” travel-shopping game, and a supply chain management (SCM) game. Preliminary rounds began on 13 June 2005, involving 43 teams (32 in SCM and 11 in travel) from 19 countries. A full list of participating teams is available.

Based on the qualifying and seeding rounds, 11 Travel agents and 24 SCM agents proceeded to the final tournament, held in conjunction with IJCAI-05 in Edinburgh, Scotland on 1–3 August. The first day of SCM quarter-finals and Travel semi-finals coincided with the Workshop on Trading Agent Design and Analysis (TADA-05), where researchers presented their latest results on trading agent technology.

The competition in both games turned out to be quite sharp. Although the table below lists only the top-scoring three agents for each game, it appeared that many more entries exhibited strong trading strategy. Complete final-round score tables are also available.
